A Fresh Perspective at Xchange: Why CyberQP Deserved the Grand Prize

For the first time, I had the experience of attending Xchange as an MSP and not a Vendor. This meant that for the first time, I was sitting in boardrooms with 25 other MSPs and listening to Vendor pitches. Xchange had a formal awards ceremony and picked ThreatLocker as the overall winner. However, I believe another IT vendor should have walked away with the grand prize: CyberQP.

An Engaging Presentation

The presenter, Paul Redding, made a strong impression right from the start by walking around the room and shaking our hands. This personal touch set the tone for an engaging session. We then played a game where we had to pick the right answers about cybersecurity issues. The winner got all the answers right and answered the fastest, adding a fun and competitive element to the presentation.

Superhero Analogy and Impressive Technology

Paul captured our attention with a superhero analogy that ran through his presentation. CyberQP’s technology does three main things that impressed everyone in our boardroom:

  1. Automated Password Rotation: CyberQP takes the administrative password and spins it through automated password rotations. This makes it nearly impossible for hackers to steal the all-powerful administrative passwords.
  1. Just-in-Time Accounts: When the IT help desk needs an administrative password, the rotation stops, and they can get the password just in time. This level of privileged access management security forces bad actors to try social attacks or vishing, where they pretend to be one of your trusted clients using AI-generated voices.
  1. Enhanced MFA Security: To thwart these social attacks, CyberQP offers enhanced multi-factor authentication (MFA) security that operates much like a bank.

Additionally, CyberQP dramatically empowers customers and saves MSPs time on tickets with self-service account management, allowing users to change their own passwords.

Why CyberQP Stood Out

These trio of services won the day in my humble opinion. If you are an MSP that didn’t get a chance to hear their presentation or didn’t attend Xchange Next Gen, I highly recommend checking out their site: CyberQP . CyberQP’s innovative approach to cybersecurity and privileged access management makes them a standout in the IT services industry.

In conclusion, while ThreatLocker was awarded the grand prize, CyberQP’s engaging presentation and impressive technology left a lasting impact on me and many others in the boardroom. Their solutions address critical cybersecurity challenges and offer practical, effective tools for MSPs.
